
According to data from the Research Center of the Revolutionary Workers’ Unions Confederation (DISK-AR), the minimum wage in Türkiye has lost 1,112 TL in value due to January inflation.
The “Wage Loss Monitoring Report” by DISK-AR reveals that the minimum wage, set at 22,105 TL, suffered a loss of 1,112 TL before even reaching workers’ pockets in January.
The study also shows that a worker earning 1.5 times the minimum wage (31,400 TL) experienced an inflation loss of 1,579 TL. Meanwhile, a worker earning twice the minimum wage (40,700 TL) saw a loss of 2,047 TL, and those earning 2.5 times the minimum wage (around 50,000 TL) lost 2,515 TL per month due to inflation.
