Minister Isikhan Announces Support Program for Working Mothers

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Isikhan has announced over 15 million Turkish lira in support for working mothers as part of the “EDU-CARE II: Promoting Trained Childcare Providers to Support Registered Women’s Employment” project. The initiative will be implemented in three cities this year.

In a statement shared via his social media account, Minister Isikhan emphasized their continued commitment to supporting working mothers.

Through the “EDU-CARE II” project, the government aims to promote registered employment for women by encouraging insured and trained childcare providers. Minister Isikhan stated, “A total support amount exceeding 15 million Turkish lira will be allocated in 2025 for the project carried out in Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir.”

The project, which runs for 20 months, provides monthly financial support as follows:

  • €510 for full-time working mothers,
  • €560 for single mothers or mothers with special-needs children,
  • €255 for part-time working mothers,
  • €305 for single mothers or mothers with special-needs children working part-time.

This initiative underscores the government’s dedication to facilitating work-life balance for mothers while fostering registered employment opportunities.
