Minister Nebati briefly said:
“We set out with the goal of a respectable Turkey in the world. The growth trend will continue this year as well. Per capita tourism income will increase. Turkey broke a historical record in exports in 2021. Exports reached $225 billion last year. We continue on our way with exports of $20 billion and more per month. Turkey will continue to grow export-oriented. The export-oriented growth trend will continue this year as well. This year will be one of the years when the new economic model is fully applicable and Turkey’s gains will be the highest. Production and employment will increase, the current account deficit will decrease.
December 20 is a milestone. While our President shared the new Turkey Model, he also revealed a very important package of measures. Today, work on legal regulations has started in the Parliament.
NEW SUPPORT FOR COMPANIES
We have achieved an important structural transformation. We left the orthodox policies and turned to heterodox policies. This will be a time when everyone wins. Be comfortable. We are working to support production-oriented, manufacturing and export-oriented companies with the new instruments we will bring. We will carry those who want to increase their exports on our back. It will be a period of significant gains.
Exchange rates stabilize. The exchange rate is no longer debatable. Exchange rates have stabilized under free market conditions, we are now removing them from our agenda. As of yesterday, we reached a volume of ₺91.5 billionin the exchange-protected Turkish lira deposit account. Inflation is our priority and our fight against inflation will continue with determination.”
