Ankara Minister Bolat shared details of his meeting with the visiting Malian Minister of Industry and Trade, Diallo, on social media.
Bolat reported that they discussed bilateral trade and investment topics with the visiting minister, saying, “In our meeting, we confirmed our goal to work together towards achieving a $500 million trade volume.”
Bolat noted that during the meeting, they also addressed the investment opportunities in the textile and food processing sectors, which Mali prioritizes, and the potential for directing Turkish companies to the Malian market. He stated:
“We focused on the roles our country’s firms could take in construction projects in Mali. Alongside the increasing investment and trade with Africa over the past 20 years, we discussed the potential for more investments in Mali and the importance of our private sector exploring opportunities in Bamako through upcoming visits.”
