Mobility has increased in the second-hand online vehicle market

In the second-hand online passenger and light commercial vehicle market, sales increased by 16.2% and prices increased by 1.45% in November compared to the previous month.

Last month, 168,181 units were sold in the second-hand online passenger and light commercial vehicle market in Turkiye (when the vehicles that have been completely removed from the advertisement are considered sold).

In November this year, sales increased by 16.2% compared to October, and by 10% in the total of the first 11 months compared to the same period of the previous year.

47% of the vehicles advertised were sold

In November, the share of passenger cars in second-hand online sales was 81%, and the share of light commercial vehicles was 19%.

While the number of vehicles advertised in the second-hand online passenger and light commercial market was 361 thousand 382 in November, the number of vehicles posted increased by 1% compared to the previous month. 47% of the vehicles advertised were sold.

Prices slightly increased

According to the analysis made by examining the price changes of 123 thousand 620 advertisements in the 2010-2021 model years of 2 thousand 543 variants belonging to the 258 models of the first 32 brands with the highest sales in the second-hand market. In November, retail prices in the second-hand online passenger and light commercial vehicle market increased by 1.45% compared to the previous month.

Diesel has the largest share in sales

When Turkiye’s second-hand online passenger and light commercial market is evaluated according to engine type, diesel cars had the highest share in November 2022 with a sales of 107 thousand 111 units and a share of 63.7%.

Diesel cars were followed by gasoline with 56,135 sales and a share of 33.4%, and hybrid cars with a sales of 2 thousand 547 and a share of 1.5%.

While the share of autogas cars was 1.2% with 1,975 sales, the share of electric cars was determined as 0.2% with 413 sales.

In addition, last month, the most C-segment vehicles were sold with 55,723 units. Vehicles between the ages of 0 and 4 had the highest share of sales in the second-hand online passenger and light commercial vehicle market, with 37%.
