MoneyPay Shares Vision for the Future of Payments at Industry Panel

Migros MoneyPay brought together key representatives of the e-commerce ecosystem at a panel titled “Drawing Strength from Our Roots: The Future of the Payments World.” The event focused on how payment technologies are shaping business strategies, consumer behavior, and digital commerce models.

Moderated by Emre Ekmekçi, Vice President of the Turkish E-Commerce Association (ETİD), the panel featured industry leaders including MoneyPay General Manager Mehmet Müstehlik, Migros One CEO Orçun Onat, Nakitera General Manager Bulut Arukel, and Colendi Co-Founder and CEO Bülent Tekmen.

Speakers emphasized that payment solutions are not merely technical infrastructures but strategic tools that transform customer experience and accelerate business growth.

During the discussion, participants highlighted the role of virtual POS systems as more than just payment tools—offering trust, speed, efficiency, and commercial advantage simultaneously.

“Virtual POS is a solution for both today and the digital economy of the future”

In his remarks, MoneyPay General Manager Mehmet Müstehlik underscored the strategic importance of Virtual POS, describing it as a secure, fully compliant, and scalable product that directly supports businesses’ growth.

“Virtual POS not only prevents revenue losses but also ensures operational continuity and minimizes workload,” Müstehlik said. “At MoneyPay, we are developing Android POS devices and other digital payment technologies within our R&D framework. Virtual POS is not just a solution for today, but also for the evolving needs of the digital economy. We will continue shaping the future of payment technologies in Türkiye.”

“MoneyPay builds on Migros’ foundation of trust”

Orçun Onat, CEO of Migros One, noted that MoneyPay’s foundation in Migros’ customer trust has driven rapid adoption of its products.

“During high-volume campaign periods, the speed, reliability, and easy integration of Virtual POS significantly enhance the customer experience. The alignment between MoneyPay’s infrastructure and Migros One’s provisioning-based business model adds strong value to the company,” he said.

“Customer experience in payments defines brand competitiveness”

ETİD Vice President Emre Ekmekçi added that competition in e-commerce is no longer limited to price or product variety.

“Today, the payment experience is a decisive factor that shapes a brand’s future,” he said.

Fintech collaborations strengthening the ecosystem

Nakitera General Manager Bulut Arukel explained that with MoneyPay’s Virtual POS infrastructure, Nakitera offers a comprehensive fintech platform that lowers costs, simplifies operations, and supports sustainable growth across suppliers, distributors, and retailers.

“Fast integration and low operational costs strengthen business partnerships. This infrastructure is already being effectively utilized within Anadolu Group companies,” Arukel noted.

Bülent Tekmen, Co-Founder and CEO of Colendi, said that through its partnership with MoneyPay, Colendi brings its fintech expertise and technological strength to the payments ecosystem.

“Global trends increasingly emphasize security, regulatory compliance, and user experience. MoneyPay’s solutions align perfectly with these priorities,” Tekmen said.
