Morpara Launches New Features for International Money Transfers

ISTANBUL – Turkish fintech company Morpara has introduced new features for international money transfers, expanding its services to allow users to send money by name, to bank accounts, or to digital wallets through a single mobile application.

According to a statement from the company, Morpara has broadened its integration with global money transfer provider MoneyGram. In addition to the previously launched “Send to Name” feature, Morpara has now activated “Send to Bank Account” and “Send to Wallet” functions.

The expanded integration marks a new phase in Morpara’s international transfer services, enabling users in Türkiye to send money abroad regardless of the recipient’s bank.

Transfers to More Than 200 Countries

Through MoneyGram’s global network, Morpara users can now send money from Türkiye to bank accounts, recipients by name, or digital wallets in more than 200 countries using a single mobile app. Transfers to bank accounts do not require the recipient bank to have an agreement with any intermediary institution.

Morpara had initially launched its name-based transfers and reference-number cash pickup services in June. With the activation of bank account and wallet transfers before the end of the year, the company has completed its goal of managing all international money transfer functions within one application.

Another key feature of the MoneyGram integration is the ability to send money directly to MoneyGram-enabled digital wallets worldwide, offering users a faster and more modern alternative to traditional remittance methods.

Key Features of the New Transfer Network

Morpara highlighted the following benefits made available through its expanded international transfer network:

  • Money transfers by name, to digital wallets, and to bank accounts in more than 200 countries
  • Transfers to MoneyGram-integrated digital wallets worldwide
  • Ability to send money without an IBAN, using only the recipient’s name, and to receive funds via a reference number
  • Commission-free transfers to SEPA countries and the United Kingdom
  • Commission-free incoming transfers from SEPA and the UK via a European (EUR) IBAN

Following earlier partnerships with Clearjunction, Intelexpress, and Tranglo, the MoneyGram integration has significantly expanded Morpara’s global payment network. The company continues to pursue its vision of “Borderless Payment Technologies,” offering fast, secure, and flexible international transfers through both its mobile app and representative network.

Morpara’s 2025 insights show strong user loyalty, driven by tens of thousands of customers performing repeat transactions and using multiple transfer functions simultaneously.

Executive Commentary

Commenting on the launch, Morpara General Manager Hakan Özat said the company’s primary goal is to deliver innovative financial services at accessible prices.

“We aim to ensure that our users can benefit from financial technologies at the highest global standards,” Özat said. “To avoid creating barriers, we deliberately steer clear of high commissions and fees. Our goal is for everyone to have access to financial opportunities that transcend borders.”

Özat emphasized that Morpara has consolidated international money transfer innovations into a single application, moving away from traditional solutions.

“Our objective has always been to lead the way in both sending money abroad and receiving money from overseas through digital channels,” he said. “Today, we are the first and only institution to offer, through a single mobile application, money transfers by name, to foreign bank accounts and wallets, as well as the ability to receive money from abroad by name or into an account.”

Özat added that Morpara is continuing work on card-to-card international transfers and providing IBANs in additional currencies, reaffirming the company’s focus on enabling users to access fast and reliable money transfer solutions from one platform.
