Mortgage house sales increased by 1000% compared to last year

According to the data of General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre, 141 thousand 434 housing sales on credit were made in July. The cities that have the most housing sales respectively are Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa and Kocaeli.

In Istanbul, 27 thousand 424 housing sales on mortgage were made in July; the most of these housing sales were happened in Esenyurt district, as it was the case also in June.

2 thousand 680 houses in Esenyurt, 1880 houses in Pendik, 1560 houses in Sancaktepe, 1370 houses in Umraniye, 1280 houses in Beylikduzu, 1267 houses in Kartal, 1213 houses in Maltape, 1143 houses in Kucukcekmece, 1124 houses in Cekmekoy and 1058 houses in Tuzla district were sold on credit in July.

In Ankara, the most housing sales were made in Cankaya district

Ankara is the second city that most housing sales on credit were made; 18 thousand 566 housing sales on credit were made in July. 3 thousand 243 of these sales were sold in Cankaya district, 2 thousand 866 of them in Kecioren, 2 thousand 741 of them in Etimesgut, 2 thousand 479 of them in Yenimahalle and 2 thousand 301 of them in Mamak.

Izmir is the third city that most housing sales on mortgage were made; 10 thousand 741 housing sales on credit were made in July. 1401 of these sales were sold in Buca district, 1000 of them in Cigli, 998 of them in Karsiyaka, 857 of them in Menemen and 786 of them in Torbali.

Bursa and Kocaeli were the cities that most housing sales were happened after Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir. In July, 6 thousand 60 houses were sold in Bursa and 5 thousand 66 houses were sold in Kocaeli.

141 thousand 434 houses were sold on credit in July

While only 14 thousand 348 thousand houses were sold in July 2019, 141 thousand 434 houses were sold in July 2020. We see a 1000 percent of increase at these numbers.

250 thousand 792 houses have been sold since June when the interest rates were decreased. Housing sales on credit also contributed 1 billion 428 million 968 liras to national treasury.
