Moscow Stock Exchange will start futures trading in Turkish lira on March 1

It has been reported that Turkish lira-Russian ruble futures will start on March 1 on the Moscow Stock Exchange (MOEX).

In the MOEX statement, it was stated that the demand for the Turkish lira and Hong Kong dollar increased.

Therefore, in the statement, it was noted that Moscow Stock Exchange will start futures transactions in Turkish lira-Russian rubles and Hong Kong dollars-Russian rubles on March 1. It was stated that the customers of the stock exchange will be able to access the contracts to be made between June, September and December 2023 and March 2024 in these currencies.

In the statement, it was stated that the application in question would increase the interest of both institutional investors and legal entities in such transactions.

MOEX Chairman Yuriy Denisov announced in December 2022 that the demand for Turkish lira on the Moscow Stock Exchange increased 17 times in 2022 compared to the previous year.
