Mugla started 2023 with a record increase in tourists

Returning to the years it missed in tourism last year, Mugla made a quick start to this season. Starting 2023 with a record increase, it hosted 11 thousand 43 tourists in January. Most tourists came from England.

According to the data of Mugla Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, Mugla hosted 11 thousand 43 tourists in January 2023. In January 2022, 2 thousand 336 foreign tourists came. While 5 thousand 115 foreign tourists came in January 2018, 3 thousand 942 in January 2019, 4 thousand 468 people in January 2020, 348 in January 2021, 2 thousand 336 foreign tourists in January 2022, in January 2023, an all-time record was broken, with 11,043 foreign tourist arrivals.

In January 2023, the most tourists came from England with 3 thousand 68 people. England was followed by Ireland with 727 people, Russia with 454 people, Greece with 355 people, Iran with 286 people and Ukraine with 231 people. 6 thousand 153 tourists came from other countries.

In January 2023, 4 thousand 490 tourists from Dalaman Airport and 1 673 tourists from Milas-Bodrum Airport entered Mugla. There was also a tourist entry from the ports. 1,508 tourists from Marmaris Port, 898 tourists from Bodrum Port, 525 from Mantarburnu Port, 650 from Fethiye Port, 5 from Gocek Port, 33 from Datca Port, 239 tourists from Gulluk Port, 9 tourists from Turgut Reis Port and 13 tourists from Yalıkavak Port came to the region.
