New Company Registrations Surge in Turkiye as Foreign-Partner Firms Expand

Türkiye recorded more than 10,800 newly established companies in April, marking a sharp increase from a year earlier, according to data released Friday by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB).

The number of newly established companies reached 10,853 in April,up 43% from 7,590 in the same month last year.

The number of liquidated companies totaled 2,399 in April, representing a 38.9% increase compared to the same period a year earlier.

On a monthly basis, company formation accelerated significantly.

Newly established firms rose 29.5% from 8,379 in March, while liquidations increased 14.1% from 2,102.

First 4-month figures remain positive


Between January and April, the total number of newly established companies reached 39,779, up 10.1% compared with the same period in 2025.

During the same period, liquidated companies totaled 9,211, marking a modest annual increase of 0.5%.

Syrian-linked firms lead foreign-partner establishments


TOBB data also showed continued activity among foreign-partner companies.

In April, 1,283 companies with foreign partners were established.

Among them, 785 involved Syrian partners, followed by 143 companies with Turkish partners and 41 with Iranian partners.
