JETCO Protocol between Turkiye and the Netherlands

Regarding the Joint Economic and Trade Committee Protocol signed between Turkiye and the Netherlands, Minister of Commerce Omer Bolat said, “We will create new mutual trade and investment opportunities by realizing the potential of our countries more strongly.”

Minister of Trade Omer Bolat gave information about his contacts in the Netherlands on his social media account.

Stating that they met with Liesje Schreinemacher, Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Netherlands, on the second day of his visit, Bolat said, “We discussed many issues within the scope of strengthening the economic relations of our countries. We will create new mutual trade and investment opportunities by realizing the potential of our countries more strongly. At our meeting, we decided to work together to further increase the trade volume between Turkiye and the Netherlands and to strengthen our cooperation, especially in areas such as circular economy, green transformation and innovation.”

Bolat stated that they signed the (JETCO) Protocol with Schreinemacher, in which they agreed on issues that would deepen commercial relations between the two countries and strengthen mutual investment opportunities.

Emphasizing that they will continue to increase Turkiye’s power through collaborations within the scope of trade diplomacy activities, Bolat said:

“In our economy, which has been growing uninterruptedly for 13 quarters, we will continue our efforts to ensure stable, permanent and sustainable development and support the positive growth of the Turkish economy without slowing down. In this context, I hope that the JETCO Protocol, in which joint investments, contracting, circular economy, green transformation, energy and tourism issues are discussed in detail, will be beneficial for both countries.”
