
U.S.-based chipmaker Nvidia has reclaimed the top position among the world’s most valuable companies, reaching a market capitalization of $3.86 trillion as of the end of June—surpassing Microsoft Corp. by approximately 4.3%.
The surge in Nvidia’s valuation has been driven by renewed investor optimism over its leadership in the artificial intelligence (AI) sector and strong expectations of continued demand for AI-focused chips.
Microsoft’s market value stood at $3.69 trillion, while Apple Inc.—which set a record high valuation of $3.92 trillion in December 2024—ranked third at the end of June with a market cap of $3.1 trillion.
Other Tech Giants Also See Strong Growth
- Meta Platforms Inc. saw its market value rise 14% last month, reaching $1.86 trillion.
- Broadcom Inc. posted a 13.9% increase, bringing its valuation to $1.3 trillion.
- Amazon.com Inc. grew by 7%, hitting $2.33 trillion in market capitalization.
While Nvidia has yet to surpass Apple’s all-time record, it now stands at the forefront of a highly competitive tech landscape, fueled by its central role in powering AI technologies.
