Quarter gold coin production increased by 67.8% in 2023 compared to the previous year, reaching 17 million 797 thousand 970 pieces.
According to the information compiled by the AA correspondent from the data of the General Directorate of Mint and Stamp Printing House, there was a significant increase in quarterly gold production in 2023 compared to the previous year.
The Mint’s quarterly gold production was 2 million 211 thousand 250 in January, 2 million 243 thousand 580 in February, 1 million 312 thousand 110 in March, and 1 million 643 thousand 950 in April, 2 million 607 thousand 750 in May, 995 thousand 520 in June, 976 thousand 610 in July, 1 million 517 thousand 70 in August, 1 million 66 thousand 890 in September, and 1 million 180 thousand 960 in October, 1 million 205 thousand 360 in November and 836 thousand 920 in December. The highest production was seen in May, followed by February.
Thus, the amount of quarter gold coin produced throughout the year increased by 67.8% compared to 2022, reaching 17 million 797 thousand 970 units. In 2022, quarterly gold production was 10 million 607 thousand 900 pieces.
