Pegasus Airlines has launched a groundbreaking technology in collaboration with Voiser, enabling passengers to hear flight announcements in their native languages using cloned voices of real pilots. Developed by Pegasus’ Silicon Valley engineers and Voiser experts, this innovative project utilizes artificial intelligence and machine learning to convert text into fluent and realistic voice recordings.
Cloned Pilot Voices Deliver Multilingual Announcements for Passengers
Through this project, Pegasus pilots’ voices have been cloned, allowing AI-powered announcements in the language of the destination country on each flight. This unique system enhances the passenger experience by offering dynamic and personalized in-flight communication.
First Deployment on Sevilla Flight on September 24
Marking a world first, the AI-generated in-flight announcements using cloned pilot voices debuted on Pegasus’ Sevilla route on September 24.
By the end of October 2024, the system was fully implemented across all Pegasus flights. The AI-generated announcements provide real-time updates on flight details, weather conditions, destination information, captain names, and flight durations, ensuring a seamless and engaging travel experience.
