Porsche Sells Fewer Cars in the First Half of the Year Due to the Impact of China

Porsche announced the vehicle delivery results for the January-June period of the year.

According to this announcement, the luxury car manufacturer’s vehicle deliveries decreased by 7% to 155,945 in the January-June period of this year compared to the same period last year.

During this period, Porsche delivered 29,551 vehicles in China, a 33% annual decline.

The company stated, “The main reasons for this are the ongoing tense economic situation in the Chinese market and a focus on value-oriented sales.”

Deliveries to China account for approximately 20% of the German manufacturer’s global deliveries, and the company is affected by the customs duty tensions between the European Union (EU) and China.

In North America, Porsche’s deliveries in the first six months of the year decreased by 6% compared to the same period last year, reaching 36,558. In the company’s main market, Germany, deliveries increased by 22% to 20,811 vehicles.
