
June 2024 Sees Significant Growth in Export Producer Prices; Mining and Manufacturing Sectors Lead the Rise
The Producer Price Index for Exports (YD-UFE) in Turkiye experienced notable increases in June, with a monthly rise of 0.97% and an annual surge of 44.51%, according to the latest data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
In detail, the YD-UFE showed a 0.97% increase compared to the previous month, a 15.22% rise from December of the previous year, and a substantial 44.51% increase compared to the same month last year. Over the past 12 months, the index has climbed 59.5%.
Examining year-on-year changes in major industry sectors, the mining and quarrying sector saw a 54.03% increase, while the manufacturing sector experienced a 44.35% rise.
Breaking down by major industry groups, the annual changes are as follows: intermediate goods increased by 39.19%, durable consumer goods by 53.68%, non-durable consumer goods by 48.13%, energy by 38.35%, and capital goods by 49.02%.
On a monthly basis, the mining and quarrying sector, along with manufacturing, both recorded a 0.97% increase. For major industry groups, monthly changes included a 0.46% rise in intermediate goods, 1.42% in durable consumer goods, 1.32% in non-durable consumer goods, 0.07% in energy, and 1.35% in capital goods.
