Production Resumes at GÜBRETAŞ’s Razi Petrochemical Facility in Iran

Istanbul, May 2026 — Turkish fertilizer producer GÜBRETAŞ announced that production has resumed at its subsidiary Razi Petrochemical Co. in Iran, following a temporary halt caused by damage to electrical systems at the facility.

According to a statement disclosed on the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the disruption dates back to April 5, 2026, when electrical units at the plant were damaged, forcing a suspension of operations.

Operations Restart After Repairs

The company confirmed that, after ongoing repair and recovery efforts, production has restarted in the affected units. The resumption follows the completion of technical work addressing the damage at the site.

Additional reports indicated that the outage was linked to external incidents affecting the industrial zone in Iran’s Khuzestan region, where the petrochemical complex is located.

Background

Razi Petrochemical is a key overseas asset for GÜBRETAŞ, playing an important role in the company’s international production capacity. The temporary shutdown had raised concerns about supply continuity and financial impact.

However, officials noted that no major structural damage beyond electrical systems was reported, enabling a relatively swift recovery once repairs were completed.
