Products created by Turkish women entrepreneurs were showcased in New York as part of events organized alongside meetings of the United Nations, highlighting the growing role of women-led businesses in global markets.
The exhibition took place during international programs linked to the UN Commission on the Status of Women, one of the world’s most significant platforms focused on gender equality and women’s economic empowerment. The event brought together representatives from business organizations, policymakers, and entrepreneurs from multiple countries.
At the exhibition, products developed by Turkish women entrepreneurs—from handmade items to innovative consumer goods—were introduced to international participants. The initiative aimed to increase the global visibility of women-led businesses from Türkiye and help them access international markets.
Representatives from Turkish business networks and institutions emphasized that supporting female entrepreneurship is essential for sustainable economic growth. They noted that such international platforms provide important opportunities for entrepreneurs to expand partnerships, reach new customers, and strengthen their global networks.
The program also included panel discussions and networking sessions focusing on women’s participation in the economy and the challenges faced by women-owned small and medium-sized enterprises in global supply chains.
Officials participating in the event stressed that increasing women’s access to finance, markets, and international trade remains a key priority. Initiatives supporting women entrepreneurs are expected to continue through collaborations between Turkish institutions, international organizations, and private sector partners.
The exhibition in New York served as a platform not only to promote Turkish products but also to highlight the contribution of women entrepreneurs to innovation, employment, and economic development.
