Regional exports and export strategies were discussed in Gaziantep

The new export strategies of the provinces of the region, which export approximately $12 billion abroad, were discussed at the meeting held in Gaziantep.

New strategies in the export of the Southeastern Anatolia Region were discussed at the meeting held in Gaziantep with broad participation. All aspects of regional exports were discussed at the meeting hosted by the Southeastern Anatolia Exporters’ Association by the Turkish Exporters Assembly.

The meeting was attended by Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM” President Ismail Gulle, Gaziantep Governor Davut Gul, GAIB Coordinator President Fikret Kileci, Southeastern Anatolia Cereals Pulses Exporters’ Association President Mahsum Altunkaya, Southeastern Anatolia Dried Fruits and Products Exporters’ Association President Mehmet Cikmaz, Huseyin Ulutas, Deputy Chairman of the Southeast Anatolian Carpet Exporters Union, Abdulkadir Konukoglu, Honorary President of SANKO Holding, Hasan Basri Kurt, President of KOSGEB, and Adnan Unverdi, Chairman of the Gaziantep Chamber of Industry.

Speaking at the opening, Tim President Ismail Gulle stated that they aim to leave a better tomorrow for future generations by establishing a sustainable system in exports, and said, “We are creating both our strategy and our perspective on exports with an understanding that will increase quality as well as quantity in the new period. By establishing a sustainable system in exports, we will leave a better tomorrow for future generations. We laid the foundations of the projects that will form the infrastructure of this.”

Gaziantep Governor Davut Gul also said in his speech that logistics problems, which are important for exporters, are solved with government investments. Governor Gul gave information about the works carried out to reach the ports after Gaziantep Airport, emphasizing that the exporters are carrying out an important activity for the country and the city’s economy, and the government is constantly producing new projects to clear their way.

GAIB President Fikret Kileci stated that they exported $11.7 billion to 198 countries in 2021 and said, “First of all, we put human capital in our focus. We have trained an average of 100 thousand people per year. We also attach great importance to environmentally friendly production. We installed a solar energy panel on the roof of the GAIB building. As GAIB, we currently meet 25% of our energy needs from solar energy panels. It will cover its cost in a period of 11-12 months. Along with environmentally friendly production, human, time and financial management should be our most important motto in the next process.”

In his speech, SANKO Holding Honorary President Konukoglu stated that the secret of Gaziantep’s success comes from unity, solidarity, spirit of solidarity and determination to struggle, “Gaziantep residents do not complain about his situation, he minds his own business. Gaziantep has both trade and industrialism from the past. He who comes to Gaziantep from whichever city he comes from, who drinks its water and smells its air, fights for Gaziantep.”
