$600 Million Investment Announced to Boost Energy Efficiency in Agriculture by 2030

The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources has declared a $600 million investment in the agriculture sector from 2024 to 2030 to enhance energy efficiency.

In a social media post from the Ministry’s official account, it was stated, “We will support the effective, efficient, and sustainable implementation of agricultural activities with the II. National Energy Efficiency Action Plan.”

The post included a graphic containing information about the action plan for the agriculture sector during the 2024-2030 period.

According to the data presented in the graphic, a total of $600 million will be invested in the agriculture sector during this period.

Renewable energy applications will include waste heat recovery in irrigation, agricultural production, and storage areas, along with heating, cooling, and ventilation techniques.

As a result of the energy efficiency initiatives, the plan aims to achieve 1 million tons of equivalent petroleum energy savings and a reduction of 2.8 million tons of emissions during the specified period. The measures are expected to contribute significantly to making agricultural practices more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
