Russia to lift Turkey ban on June 21

Nadir Alpaslan, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism, stated that a delegation from Russia will come to Turkey and see the measures in place, and said, “I hope these restrictions will be lifted after June 21.”

Alpaslan stated that during his recent visit to Russia, the measures taken for the season were conveyed to the interlocutors, adding that the Russians were told how safe Turkey is.

Stating that they will arrive before June 21, Alpaslan said, “With the signs we have received and with all our faith and efforts, this restriction will be lifted on June 21.

Again, we expect travels to Turkey at more affordable levels in countries such as Germany, England and the Netherlands.”

Alpaslan said that if this happens, there will be a very serious demand, and they expect to return to the fertile days in 2019 after July.

Emphasizing that the talks with Russia are continuing, Alpaslan continued: “With the opening of international flights, mobility will begin.

There is also a movement at the moment, but in order for this to increase and for our facilities to reach enough tourists, the restrictions should be lifted and the flights should increase.

In domestic tourism, activity begins as of June. We expect the months of July, August and September to pass at the level we want, Nadir Alpaslan.”
