Aytemiz Fuel Distribution Inc., which operates a nationwide network of more than 800 fuel stations across Turkey, has changed ownership once again. The company, which was acquired by Russian energy major Tatneft from Doğan Holding in 2023, has now been sold to TNCI Holding, an investment group based in the Republic of Tatarstan.
No financial details regarding the sale price were disclosed as part of the transaction.
“First Concrete Sale Reflected in Turkish Markets After Sanctions”
Journalist Olcay Aydilek, announcing the development on his X (formerly Twitter) account, linked Tatneft’s decision to divest Aytemiz to international sanctions imposed by the United States on Russian energy companies. Aydilek described the deal as the “first concrete example of a sale reflected in Turkish markets following U.S. sanctions.”
Aytemiz Transferred to TNCI Holding
Aytemiz Akaryakıt joined Tatneft’s portfolio in 2023, when Doğan Holding sold its shares for approximately $336 million, bringing the Turkish fuel distributor under the ownership of one of Russia’s largest oil producers.
With the latest transaction, ownership has now shifted from Tatneft to TNCI Holding, another structure with strong ties to Tatarstan, marking a new chapter for Aytemiz in Turkey’s fuel distribution sector.
