ŞA-RA Enerji IPO Attracts 3.77 Times Demand, Shares to Debut on Borsa Istanbul on July 17

ISTANBUL — Turkish energy company ŞA-RA Enerji has attracted strong investor interest in its initial public offering (IPO), with demand reaching 3.77 times the allocated shares during the three-day bookbuilding process held between July 8 and July 10.

The IPO, managed by a consortium led by Tera Yatırım Menkul Değerler, raised TRY 6.23 billion, making it the largest public offering completed in Turkey during the first seven months of 2026. All 89 million shares offered were successfully sold.

Demand was particularly strong among high-demand investors, where subscriptions reached 12.9 times the allocated quota. Domestic institutional investors subscribed 5.01 times, while international institutional investors placed orders equal to 2.74 times their allocation.

The offering attracted 729,560 investors. Shares were allocated to 728,823 domestic retail investors, 344 high-demand investors, 115 domestic institutional investors, 15 international institutional investors, and 263 company employees. The allocation breakdown was 38% for domestic retail investors, 10% for high-demand investors, 2% for employees, and 25% each for domestic and international institutional investors.

ŞA-RA Enerji’s shares will begin trading on Borsa Istanbul (BIST) under the ticker symbol SARAE following the company’s official bell-ringing ceremony scheduled for July 17.

Commenting on the successful offering, Chairman R. Mertay Türk thanked investors for their confidence in the company’s 41-year history and future vision. He said the proceeds and support from new shareholders would help the company expand its production capacity, strengthen its export presence, and continue contributing to Turkey’s economy.
