1,300 local markets in Istanbul decided to fix the prices of minced meat and cubes during the month of Ramadan. In these markets, ground beef is sold for ₺190, and cubed meat is sold for ₺210.
Good news for Istanbulites came from local markets. During the month of Ramadan, 1,300 local markets fixed their meat prices.
A series of measures were taken due to the speculative increase in meat prices. With these measures, it was aimed at first for the citizens to eat meat at an affordable price during the month of Ramadan.
After the agricultural loan markets, local markets also participated in the meat and milk institution’s fixed price campaign. Many chain markets are also expected to lower their meat prices in the coming days.
