Samsung Electronics Türkiye Launches AI-Powered Technician Academy in İzmir

Samsung Electronics Türkiye has inaugurated its new Technician Academy in İzmir, designed to enhance after-sales service quality by providing hands-on, AI-supported training for technicians across the country.

According to the company’s statement, the academy will serve authorized service staff and technicians nationwide, offering training through real-life simulations and artificial intelligence support. The program covers air conditioning systems in particular, along with televisions and home appliances.

Around 1,000 technicians are expected to be trained annually. New technicians will receive professional training, while certified technicians will refresh their knowledge and gain experience with the latest product models. The academy combines theoretical and practical modules, including workplace safety, installation, repair, and maintenance. Simulators and tools have been designed to replicate real scenarios, such as carrying appliances in buildings without elevators or installing air conditioning units where space for outdoor modules is limited.

At the final stage, technicians will conduct full installations in a life-sized model home designed in Türkiye, after which their performance will be evaluated by artificial intelligence. Those who do not meet the required standards will undergo further training. AI will also support installation quality by analyzing photos taken after product setup, flagging aesthetic or technical issues.

Beyond installation, Samsung will leverage its SmartThings ecosystem, HRM (Home Appliance Remote Management), HASS quality control program, and Proactive parts selection system to detect potential errors caused by product use or consumer habits before they occur, helping maximize product performance.

Samsung Electronics Türkiye Service and Customer Services Director Erbil Topgül stated that the company aims to improve every touchpoint in the customer journey:

“With this new academy, we wanted to create an environment where our technicians can learn by directly experiencing all processes. Inspired by real-life cases, the academy sets a new standard both in Türkiye and globally.”

Samsung Electronics Türkiye Air Conditioning Systems Director Ekin Tezeren highlighted the growing demand for comfort and efficiency amid rising temperatures:

“Air conditioning is no longer a luxury but a necessity. With our Bespoke AI-powered systems, we deliver personalized comfort experiences. Through the İzmir Technician Academy, we aim to ensure that our specialized technicians gain the practical expertise needed to provide seamless service.”
