SCHOTT continues its investments in Turkey

Germany-based glass company SCHOTT continued its investments in Bolu. Having completed its second factory in Bolu, the company will increase the number of its employees from 700 to a thousand.

According to the written statement made by the company, the factory in Bolu, which is among the investments of the glass company SCHOTT, which operates in 34 countries around the world with 137 years of experience, 16 thousand 500 employees and 40 factories, was completed with a spending of €12 million.

SCHOTT, with its second factory in Bolu, which was founded in July 2021 in the Bolu Organized Industrial Zone, in a closed area of 20 thousand square meters increasing its capacity by 50%, will produce high value-added glass, mainly oven, cooker, hood and refrigerator front door glasses, with innovations that will turn the dreams of its customers into reality.

With this facility, SCHOTT will create new employment opportunities and contribute to the Turkish economy with products to be exported abroad. The number of employees of SCHOTT, which is currently 700, will increase to a thousand.

SCHOTT, one of the world’s leading companies in quality glass and continuing its activities in Turkey since 1989, exports products from Turkey to 20 countries in 4 continents and produces flat glass for the white goods sector with its Bolu and Tekirdag Cerkezkoy factories.

The new production facility of SCHOTT, which has been operating in Turkey for 20 years, is planned to be put into service on Thursday, June 9th, with a digital infrastructure designed with the latest technology.
