According to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), seasonally adjusted consumer prices rose by 2.04% month-on-month in June.
This marks a slight decrease compared to May, when monthly inflation stood at 2.05%.
TÜİK reported that the seasonally adjusted core inflation indicator excluding unprocessed food, energy, alcoholic beverages, tobacco, and gold (known as the B Index) increased by 2.07% in June on a monthly basis.
Additionally, the seasonally adjusted C Index—which excludes energy, food and non-alcoholic beverages, alcoholic beverages, tobacco, and gold—saw a monthly increase of 2.31% in June.
These figures highlight ongoing inflationary pressure across core categories of goods, reinforcing the cautious stance of economic observers and policymakers.
