In the second-hand online passenger and light commercial vehicle market, sales decreased by 45% compared to June last month, while there was no significant change in vehicle prices.

In the second-hand online passenger and light commercial vehicle market in Turkiye, 102,806 units were sold last month (when the vehicles that have been completely removed from the advertisement are considered sold).

Sales decreased by 45% compared to June, by 29% compared to July of last year, and by 41% compared to the average of the last 3 years.

36% of the advertised vehicles were sold

Last month, the share of passenger cars in second-hand online sales was 81%, and the share of light commercial vehicles was 19%.

While the number of vehicles advertised in the second-hand online passenger and light commercial market was 284 thousand 87 in July, the number of vehicles advertised decreased by 19%. 36% of the vehicles advertised were sold.

No changes were observed in prices

According to the analysis made by examining the price changes of 71 thousand 950 advertisements in the 2010-2021 model years of 2 thousand 543 variants belonging to the 258 models of the first 32 brands with the highest sales in the second-hand market, In July, there was no significant change in prices in the second-hand online passenger and light commercial vehicle market compared to the previous month.

Gasoline cars had the lion’s share in sales

When Turkiye’s second-hand online passenger and light commercial market is evaluated according to engine type, diesel cars had the highest share in July with 63 thousand 934 units and a share of 62.2%.

Diesel cars were followed by gasoline with 35 thousand 590 sales and a share of 34.6%, and auto gas cars with a sales of 1.593 and a share of 1.5%.

While the share of hybrid cars was 1.5% with 1,541 sales, the share of electric cars was determined as 0.1% with 149 sales.

In addition, last month, C segment vehicles were sold the most with 32 thousand 593 units. Vehicles between the ages of 0 and 4 had the highest share of sales in the second-hand online passenger and light commercial vehicle market, with 35.1%.

Looking at the mileage breakdown of the vehicles sold, vehicles with 90 thousand kilometers had the highest share of sales with 71%.
