Selected startups for the KWORKS 2023 Acceleration and Pre-Acceleration programs announced

Koc University Entrepreneurship Center – KWORKS’ Acceleration and Pre-Acceleration programs for 2023 started with the kick-off meeting held at the KWORKS Sisli office on Monday, March 13. Of the startups selected for the KWORKS’23 Acceleration programs, 50% are SaaS, 28% are deep technology startups, and 22% are web/mobile application startups.

The KWORKS’23 Acceleration Program is a program that enables startups that have proven their business model to scale rapidly with the support it offers such as training, mentoring, technological infrastructure, and legal consultancy.

Startups Eligible to Participate in the KWORKS’23 Acceleration Program:

DeepSent: It is a SaaS software that processes data collected from all kinds of text-based sources, primarily social media, with deep learning methods, and produces results and suggestions with fast & high accuracy.

Geeklyzer: It is an Influencer Marketing solution focused on artificial intelligence, data and algorithms. It increases marketing efficiency by offering automatic mention tracking, competitive analysis, benchmark reports, brand-focused pinpoint Influencer analysis, project creation and project outcome estimation on an easy-to-use dashboard.

Imperium: It is a new generation construction project management software. Imperium, which enables to manage construction processes such as project management, Purchasing, Technical Office, Quality & Safety, Finance and Sales management on a single platform, serves more than 300 companies and more than 2,000 users.

Materix: A sustainability-friendly nanotechnology initiative. Thanks to the nano coatings it has developed, it saves resources by protecting the modified surface, reducing the frequency of cleaning, using water and cleaning chemicals, and extending the service life. Materix not only provides water and dust repellent properties on the surface of the solar panel modified with nano coating, but also increases energy efficiency with its self-cleaning technology.

Oxodes: It is a deep technology initiative that aims to prevent production errors with sub-millimeter precision position detection and control, measurement and poka-yoke systems based on geometry analysis with the help of hybrid technologies. With the assembly assistant system (OXO), digital measuring probe (M-OXO) and 3D scanner device (O-Scanner), it prevents assembly errors and improves quality control processes.

Patron Olsam: It is a human resources platform that allows you to work with entrepreneurs who are trained in the required business line and who have established their individual companies, minimizing the time and cost loss experienced in the training and recruitment processes, and earning 40% more on average for the employees. The attendance rate of 50+ trained personnel, who have been directed to their business partners by Patron Olsam, is 82%.

Pdmechanics: It is a predictive maintenance SaaS initiative that reduces unplanned production stoppages by early diagnosis of malfunctions in production machines of industrial plants on its artificial intelligence supported platform. Gaining customers among the 500 largest industrial facilities, Pdmechanics offers solutions to production facilities and machinery manufacturers of all sizes.

Renium: It produces digital transformation products that are easy to use and provide effective data management for businesses of all sizes. It has completed the first phase of the artificial intelligence-based OCTO product, which digitalizes business processes with its structure that does not need code development and can be directly integrated into the company’s existing systems, and has carried out pilot applications in the health and textile sectors.

Smartest Company: Develops products that are “intelligent” with artificial intelligence and computer vision and that you can integrate into your daily life in order to make human life safer, more enjoyable and more interactive. Its first product, the Smartest Helmet, is the world’s first motorcycle helmet with a hazard prediction and warning system that prevents accidents by warning drivers of potential hazards.

Yuffi: It is an hourly caregiver application that securely matches the parent and the caregiver in less than 3 minutes to meet at the desired place. Offering fast, easy and secure solutions at every step including payment, Yuffi has reached more than 1000 members since November 2022, when it was launched.

The KWORKS’23 Pre-Acceleration Program is a program designed for startups with the potential to build a sustainable and scalable business model to validate their business ideas.

Startups Eligible to Participate in the KW0RKS’23 Pre-Acceleration Program:

Airdub: With its artificial intelligence-based dubbing and voice cloning technologies, Airdub offers an innovative solution for the voice-over needs of companies in the entertainment and advertising industry.

Apollon Engine: Aiming to produce royalty-free and original music for content producers, Apollon Engine is an artificial intelligence project that produces music based on flow, color and subject from images, photos and videos. It has emerged as a solution to the need for original and royalty-free music, which is needed in creative sectors such as movies, TV series and games, and in marketing such as advertising and social media. Working with artists, musicians and academics who are experts in their fields, the team started to exhibit their productions in various collaborations at the Gender-Free Chain exhibition and 2022 ArtWeeks Akaretler.

Boly: It is a mobile application where users who want to do sports with the unique sports community it has created can match with the users around them, regardless of their location, and discover the facilities nearby.

EventDAO: It is an NFT-based ticketing service that uses its collective imagination to make its community the decision maker of the event. Offering a decentralized event experience, EventDAO has 40 thousand wallets in the wait-list pre-application on the blockchain.

Meetgate: It is an artificial intelligence supported human resources platform where companies can manage their recruitment, post-employment and job posting processes end-to-end with augmented reality and virtual reality technologies. Founded at Yildiz Technical University Technopark, Meetgate made its first sales agreement with Teknopark to be used in startup qualifying processes.

Phoyer: Phoyer, a New York and Istanbul-based augmented reality and video performance arts creation and viewing platform, brings together the works of content producers as watch lists compiled by curators, and offers their services and products for sale through the same channel. Phoyer has signed with select artists and ensembles from 20 countries for the launch.

Ubicro: A startup that develops technologies that grow fresh crops without pesticides, regardless of climate, in areas such as homes, cafes and restaurants. With its technology, Ubicro offers anyone with or without plant knowledge the opportunity to grow fresh crops anywhere and anytime.

Ulawk: Setting out with the aim of producing digital solutions to the problems experienced in the field of law, Ulawk offers a solution that informs its users via e-mail from the Trade Registry Gazette advertisements of the companies with which they have a commercial business relationship.
