Nurullah Bakır has been appointed as the Secretary General of the Banks Association of Turkey (TBB). According to a statement released by TBB, the decision was made at the Board of Directors meeting held on June 17, 2025, and his appointment will be effective as of July 1, 2025.
A graduate of TED Ankara College and the Economics Department of Erciyes University, Bakır began his banking career in 1999.
In 2020, he was appointed as the General Manager of Ziraat Bank Moscow. Bakır is fluent in English.
