Silver futures contracts will start trading at Borsa Istanbul on January 15

Borsa Istanbul announced that silver futures contracts will be opened to trading on the Futures and Options Market (VIOP) on January 15, 2021.

In the statement on the Borsa Istanbul website, it was stated that silver futures contracts will be opened for trading.

“Dollar/Ounce Silver Futures Contracts” were decided to be opened on the VIOP as of January 15, 2021 and to start trading in the evening session with a price change limit of 10%.”

In the statement that the contract will be included in the market making program on February 1, it has been decided to update the maximum order amount and special transaction notification minimum and maximum order amounts on February 4th of the Dollar/Ounce and TL/Gram Gold futures contracts.

It was reported that the contract could be tested by BISTECH member free test environment members, data broadcasters and software providers on December 17, before the contract is opened.

It was stated that the underlying asset of the aforementioned silver futures contracts will be pure silver, it was also noted that the contract size was determined as 10 ounces of silver.
