Sindh Chief Minister Shah Invites Turkish Investors to Transportation Projects

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has called on Turkish investors to take part in major development projects, particularly in Karachi’s public transportation sector.

Shah made the remarks during a meeting with Turkey’s newly appointed Consul General in Karachi, Ergül Kadak. According to Pakistani media reports, the Chief Minister reaffirmed his government’s support and highlighted the importance of strengthening ties with “brotherly Muslim countries.”

Focus on Trade and Investment

During the meeting, Shah emphasized the historical relations between Pakistan and Turkey, stressing the need to further enhance bilateral trade.

He briefed Kadak on Sindh’s ongoing mega projects in road, energy, and water sectors, while extending a specific invitation for Turkish investors to engage in Karachi’s mass transit projects. Karachi, with a population of over 21 million, faces pressing transportation challenges.

“ Sindh values its relations with Turkey and Bangladesh and aims to expand cooperation in trade, investment, and development initiatives,” Shah stated.

Consul General Kadak described Karachi as a “hospitable and loving city” and expressed interest in exploring investment opportunities. Both sides agreed that a follow-up meeting would be held between the Sindh Investment Department and the Turkish Consulate.
