Smart Gunes Enerji A.S. has secured a significant domestic order worth $29.2 million through its wholly owned subsidiary, Smart Gunes Enerji Ekipmanlari Pazarlama A.S., from a Türkiye-based corporate client. The announcement was made through the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), highlighting a major advancement in Türkiye’s renewable energy sector.
The official statement from the company reads:
“Our 100% subsidiary, Smart Gunes Enerji Ekipmanlari Pazarlama A.S., has received an order from a Türkiye-based corporate customer for two ‘Solar Power Plants with Storage Systems, Energy Transmission Lines, and Turnkey Installation’ projects with a total value of USD 29.2 million. The advance payment for the order has also been collected.”
The development work for these projects is scheduled to be completed in 2025, with full commissioning targeted for 2026.
Notably, these projects will utilize locally produced solar panels manufactured at Smart Gunes Enerji’s integrated production facility in Aliaga, using domestically produced solar cells. This reflects the company’s commitment to supporting Türkiye’s energy independence and promoting the use of national technology in clean energy initiatives.
