Smartphones and Small Home Appliances Stand Out in Teknosa’s 2025 Data

Smartphones and small home appliances emerged as the leading product categories in Teknosa’s 2025 sales data, reflecting shifting consumer preferences toward both convenience-driven and long-term technology products.

According to a statement from Teknosa, one of Türkiye’s leading technology retailers, smartphones maintained their top position as the most purchased product category in 2025. Products that play a key role in business, education, and entertainment—such as LCD TVs, tablets, and laptops—also continued to attract strong demand.

The small home appliances category sustained its upward momentum in 2025. In particular, interest increased in cordless vacuum cleaners, robot vacuum cleaners, espresso machines, and epilation devices. Company data showed that robot vacuum cleaner sales rose by 52%, while epilation device sales increased by 55% year-on-year.

Consumer preferences varied by age group, according to Teknosa’s findings. Younger consumers showed the strongest interest in Bluetooth headphones, while smartwatches were most popular among consumers in their 30s. Tablets stood out as the preferred choice among consumers in their 40s.

In smartphone purchases, consumers mainly opted for models with 128 GB and 256 GB storage capacity. Black was by far the most preferred color, followed by blue, starlight, white, gray, and midnight tones.

In the television category, demand for larger screen sizes continued in line with last year’s trend. The most preferred models were 65-inch, 55-inch, 75-inch, and 50-inch TVs, while demand for 77-inch televisions increased compared with the previous year.

Commenting on the data, Teknosa Category Management and Supply Chain Deputy General Manager Cenk Yenginer said that interest in technology products that both simplify daily life and offer long-term usability strengthened in 2025.

“Consumers are increasingly turning to products that add value to their needs while combining performance and comfort,” Yenginer said. “This picture once again demonstrates that technology has become an indispensable part of daily life and a basic necessity. As Teknosa, we continue to develop our products and services in line with consumer expectations and needs, focusing on delivering an easy, accessible, and distinctive experience across all our channels.”
