In the statement made, it is estimated that the precipitation, which will be seen in the form of rain and sleet today in the Marmara Region, will turn into snowfall after the evening hours, with the strong wind expected to blow from the northwest directions. In the east of Canakkale, Balikesir, Bursa, Yalova, Istanbul, Kocaeli, Sakarya, and Bilecik, it is estimated that there will be heavy snow (20-40 cm) tonight and tomorrow. It was said that one should be careful and cautious against negativities such as icing and frost caused by snowfall and disruptions in transportation.

A NEW WARNING HAS BEEN MADE

The statement made by the General Directorate of Meteorology is as follows: “It is estimated that the precipitation that will usually be seen in the form of rain and sleet today in Istanbul will turn into snowfall throughout the province with the strong wind expected to blow from the northwest directions after the evening hours. Tonight and tomorrow, it is estimated that there will be heavy snow in places (5 to 10 cm on the coast, 10-15 cm in the interior, 15-20 cm in the higher parts). Be careful and cautious against negativities such as icing and frost caused by snowfall and disruptions in transportation.”
