
With the inclusion of Armada Gida Ticaret Sanayi AS in this week’s IPO calendar, 2024 will close with a total of 34 public offerings. More than 100 companies are already preparing their prospectuses for IPOs in 2025, according to Foreks Haber.
Over 100 Companies Lined Up for IPOs in the New Year
The IPO landscape for 2025 is expected to surpass 2024 in activity. SPK (Capital Markets Board) Chairman Omer Gonul recently stated that based on demand, a high number of IPOs is anticipated next year. Foreks Haber reported that 102 companies have already prepared their IPO prospectuses, spanning various sectors, including mining, construction, food, and energy.
Among the companies preparing for IPOs:
Kibar Holding plans to list Assan Panel, a leader in the sandwich panel sector, in the first quarter of 2025.
Bati Anadolu Group is considering the IPO of Batiliman, located in Aliaga’s Nemrut Bay, in 2025.
Babacan Holding aims to list its real estate company in May 2025.
Dogan Holding has scheduled IPOs for 1-2 of its subsidiaries in 2025.
Pasifik Holding is also planning an IPO for one of its entities.
E.ON SE and Sabanci Holding, co-owners of Enerjisa Uretim, have authorized Citigroup, JPMorgan, and Morgan Stanley for the IPO.
Tekfen Holding has applied to SPK for amendments to pave the way for the possible IPO of Toros Tarim.
2024 IPO Recap
The 34 IPOs in 2024 reached a total market value of TRY 59.5 billion, compared to 56 IPOs in 2023 with a combined value of TRY 79.8 billion. May 2024 was the most active month, hosting seven IPOs with a total value of TRY 16.63 billion, while no IPOs occurred in January or November.
The largest IPOs of the year were:
Ronesans Gayrimenkul Yatirimlari at TRY 4.5 billion,
Lila Kagit at TRY 4.48 billion,
Koton at TRY 4.16 billion.
Twelve companies began trading on the Main Market, while 22 debuted on the Star Market. Halk Yatirim Menkul Degerler led in IPO facilitation, managing six offerings, followed by Deniz Yatirim Menkul Kiymecler and TSKB with four each.
With the IPOs in 2024, the total number of publicly traded companies on Borsa Istanbul will increase from 539 at the end of 2023 to 573, including Armada Gida.
