Sports Digitale Secures $900 Thousand Investment, Aims for Global Sports Media Leadership

YouTube-focused sports media startup Sports Digitale has successfully raised $900,000 at an $18 million valuation. The investment details remained confidential, which initially raised some questions, but we have confirmed the information from our sources.

With a team of 50 and over 20 commentators, Sports Digitale operates in various sports disciplines including football and basketball, producing content on YouTube and social media. Additionally, the company is active in e-commerce, app development, event management, and influencer marketing, aiming to establish itself as a comprehensive global brand in sports communication.

Founded in 2019 under the umbrella of Digitale Studios by finance industry veteran and sports enthusiast Murat Zorlu alongside esports entrepreneur Doğan Dirim, Sports Digitale has become the flagship of Digitale Studios. The studio also hosts six digital channels including Digitale Extra, NBA Digitale, Digitale Originals, Fight Digitale, and Digitale Racing, alongside Sports Digitale.

Fourfold Growth and Future Goals

Over the past year, Sports Digitale has seen a fourfold increase in revenue and subscriber numbers, a testament to its rapid growth trajectory. Co-founder Murat Zorlu commented on their recent funding round:

“After completing this investment round, we will evaluate corporate investments that can contribute to our medium-term goals. Our success thus far is attributed to our ability to stay ahead of trends, foster strong fan loyalty and engagement, and deliver high-quality content. Our agenda includes expanding live broadcasts, transitioning sports events to live streaming, and growing our viewer base. We also plan to emphasize broadcasts watched internationally and expand into foreign language content, aiming to establish a global presence in digital sports broadcasting.”

Sports Digitale’s ambitions are set on becoming a leading force in digital sports media, leveraging its current momentum to redefine sports content consumption globally.
