“International Occupational Safety Award” to THY

Turkish Airlines (THY) Technic Inc. was deemed worthy of the “International Safety Award” as a result of the evaluations of the British-based British Safety Council (BSC).

According to the statement made by THY, the BSC International Occupational Safety Awards, one of the most prestigious awards in the world in the field of occupational health and safety, found their owners after the independent jury members evaluated nearly 1000 institutions from 44 different countries.

THY Technic Inc. was entitled to receive this award last year with its approach to preventing workplace accidents and work-related diseases and the value it places on the psychology of its employees.

“We will continue to do our best”

THY Technic Inc. General Manager Mikail Akbulut, whose views were included in the statement, stated that he was pleased that the company was deemed worthy of the award.

Noting that each member of their family, which consists of approximately 10 thousand people, has a separate value for them, he said, “Our primary focus is to protect their health and increase their satisfaction in our work areas. This award shows us that the steps we took for our big family were right. We will continue to do our best to improve the employee experience of our colleagues, who have a significant contribution to our company’s rising success rate.”

THY Technic Inc., which provides maintenance services to 56 aircraft at the same time at its facilities at Ataturk Airport, Sabiha Gokcen Airport and Istanbul Airport, carries out its operations with the goal of “zero work accident” with its awareness activities, sustainable occupational health and safety approach within the company.
