SunExpress, a joint venture between Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, added four more Boeing 737-8 aircraft to its fleet in January, the company announced.
According to the statement, SunExpress continues to receive new aircraft as part of its growth and fleet modernization plans. In this context, the delivery of four aircraft—registered as TC-SLD, TC-SLC, TC-SLE, and TC-SLF—was completed at Boeing’s facilities in Seattle.
The final aircraft in the batch landed at Antalya Airport today following a planned refueling stop. The company said the aircraft registered as TC-SLF is scheduled to enter service in the first week of February.
SunExpress took delivery of five Boeing 737-8 aircraft last year. With the four new aircraft delivered in January, the total number of aircraft added to the fleet from existing orders has reached 23.
The newly delivered Boeing 737-8 aircraft offer reduced fuel consumption and lower emissions thanks to advanced engine technologies compared with previous-generation models. They also feature a quieter, modern cabin design, providing passengers with a more comfortable and environmentally friendly travel experience.
