ISTANBUL – Sürat Lojistik aims to rank among the top five domestic logistics companies in Türkiye and within the top 10 overall, including global players, within the next five years, according to General Manager Tarkan Türkel.
In a statement released by the company, Türkel said investments in 2025 were concentrated on warehousing and distribution infrastructure, digitalization and automation, strengthening intermodal routes, energy efficiency and sustainability.
“At our current stage, we estimate that we are already among the top 10 Turkish-origin logistics companies in terms of revenue and volume,” Türkel said. “We have two clear anchors for our targets: within five years, to be in the top five among domestic companies and in the top 10 on a scale that includes global players.”
Türkel noted that the company’s priorities toward the end of 2026 include increasing operational capacity, advancing digitalization and automation, establishing a direct presence in Europe, strengthening intermodal routes, and further improving energy efficiency and sustainability.
He added that digital and automation investments would account for the largest share of the company’s 2026 capital plans, while steps are also planned during the year toward direct structuring in Europe.
Stating that Eastern Europe is the company’s initial focus, particularly the Poland–Romania corridor, Türkel said Poland is viewed as a gateway to Europe, while Romania is a market where Turkish companies already have a strong presence.
“However, we are not rushing. We want our trade volumes in these markets to grow in a consolidated manner first,” he said. “Looking ahead to 2026, we see two main trends. The first is data, artificial intelligence and automation, meaning that forecasting, routing, capacity and pricing decisions will increasingly be supported by algorithms. The second is sustainability and intermodal transport. Networks that measure, reduce and report carbon emissions and work in an integrated, multimodal way will come to the forefront. We are not just ready in these areas—we are already implementing them in the field.”
“We Have Built the Digital Backbone”
Türkel said that over the past year the logistics sector has been tested not only on speed but also on predictability and cost management, with fuel, labor and capacity costs pushing companies to operate more efficiently.
“In this environment, the difference is made by players who use data correctly, build the right networks and place sustainability at the center of their business,” he said. “That is why in 2025 we focused our growth on data-driven operations, intermodal transport and end-to-end visibility.”
Describing 2025 as a year of building systems while scaling up, Türkel said Sürat Lojistik expanded its operational capabilities while simultaneously establishing its digital backbone, making growth more manageable and measurable.
He added that the company has strengthened its nationwide service network across all 81 provinces in Türkiye, accelerated investments in warehousing and distribution, and continues to evaluate new storage facilities in line with demand.
On the operational side, Türkel said the company has integrated multimodal capabilities such as bulk cargo operations, cold chain logistics, intermodal services and European express lines more effectively.
“In the first half of 2025, we recorded more than double growth in tonnage. Behind this momentum are our team, operational discipline and digitalization,” he said. “In addition, in the first six months of the year, both business volume and revenue grew by more than twofold compared with the same period last year.”
Türkel emphasized that the greatest improvement in customer experience has been achieved through visibility and dynamic planning. He noted that route planning, load optimization, fleet tracking and customer visibility are all managed through a single platform, enabling faster operations, lower error rates and shorter delivery times.
Summarizing the company’s core strengths as “the right team, operational discipline and digitalization,” Türkel said Sürat Lojistik rebuilt its systems, processes and team from the ground up.
“We have created a culture that prioritizes responsibility over hierarchy and enables fast decision-making,” he said. “The impact of digitalization and automation in the field has been very tangible. We calculate in advance how much transport will be needed on which day and in which region using algorithms, and we manage capacity, routes and fuel accordingly. In short, we operate based on data, not intuition. The system continuously updates itself based on factors such as traffic, weather conditions and route density.”
