SYS Group Showcases Integrated Defense Solutions in Saudi Arabia

Turkey-based defense company SYS Group is presenting its integrated defense solutions at the World Defense Show (WDS) 2026 in Saudi Arabia, bringing together the capabilities of its subsidiaries CANiK, AEI Systems and UNIROBOTICS.

In a statement, the company said it continues to offer solutions to evolving defense needs across different regions through its advanced security systems. At WDS 2026, SYS Group is highlighting end-to-end defense solutions ranging from light weapons to medium-caliber cannons, and from land vehicles to naval platforms, developed through close cooperation among its group companies.

Among the most prominent systems on display are kinetic counter-UAS (C-UAS) solutions and the TRAKON 30 remote-controlled weapon system (RCWS) equipped with the VENOM LR, which is widely preferred for urban warfare and multi-purpose missions.

The 30×113 mm VENOM LR, developed by UK-based AEI Systems and known for its low-recoil design, is being showcased on the Pars Alpha 8×8 armored vehicle produced by FNSS, integrated with the ÇAKA 30 ATO RCWS.

Developed by UNIROBOTICS, the TRAKON 30 RCWS combines the high firepower of medium-caliber cannons with artificial intelligence-based software and precision stabilization systems. Capable of operating on both wheeled and tracked armored vehicles as well as naval platforms, the system stands out for its high first-round hit probability, even on moving platforms. When paired with AEI Systems’ low-recoil VENOM LR cannon, TRAKON 30 offers a cost-effective and high-destruction solution against UAVs and drone swarms.

“We Opened the Door to New Partnerships”

CANiK, a SYS Group company, previously completed all qualification tests successfully during the procurement process of 12.7×99 mm heavy machine guns for the Saudi Arabian Land Forces and became an approved supplier to the Kingdom. WDS 2026 is seen as a key opportunity to elevate this cooperation to the next level with next-generation systems.

Commenting on the exhibition, SYS Group Chief Executive Officer Cahit Utku Aral said exports represent not only a commercial activity but also a strategic growth area for SYS Group and CANiK.

Noting that the Middle East requires proven, reliable and sustainable systems amid rapidly changing security dynamics, Aral said, “We respond to this need not with catalog solutions, but with systems whose performance has been proven in the field.”

Aral added that, together with AEI Systems, SYS Group has reached a production capacity of more than 400 medium-caliber cannons annually, placing the group in a differentiated position globally.

“WDS 2026 is the most valuable platform for sharing this vision with our strategic partners in the region,” Aral said. “The strong interest shown in our products throughout the exhibition has opened the door to new partnerships. As SYS Group, we will continue to work to deliver the best solutions to the authorities and forces that place their trust in us.”
