Turkey: Exports of $5.6 billion in the air conditioning sector

In the 11 months of this year, the air conditioning industry exported to nearly 200 countries around the world. While the highest export is made to EU countries with $2 billion 591 million, this country group is respectively; Commonwealth of Independent States with $811 million, other European countries with $617 million, Middle Eastern countries with $555 million and African countries with $410 million.

Turkish air conditioning industry, in the 11 months of this year, achieved an export of $5 billion 626 million with an increase of 34% compared to the same period of 2020.

According to the information compiled by AA correspondent from the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), Turkey’s exports increased by 33.4% last month compared to the same period of 2020 and reached $21 billion 468.5 million.

While the air conditioning industry continues to contribute to total exports with its wide product range, it increased its exports of $4.1 billion in the January-November period of last year to $5 billion 626 million in 2021.

MOST EXPORT TO EU COUNTRIES

EU countries, Turkey’s biggest partner in foreign trade, also took the lead in air conditioning industry exports. $2 billion 591 million of the sector’s exports in the 11 months of this year were made to EU countries.

This group of countries was followed by the Commonwealth of Independent States with $811 million, other European countries with $617 million, the Middle East countries with $555 million and African countries with $410 million.

EXPORTS TO NEARLY 200 COUNTRIES

In the 11 months of this year, the sector exported to nearly 200 countries around the world.

In this period, the most exports were made to Germany with $624 million. Germany was followed by the United Kingdom with $419 million, Italy with $291 million, France with $233 million and Romania with $225 million. Other countries with the highest exports were Poland, Iraq, Russia, Spain and Uzbekistan, respectively.

$237 million entered the coffers of the air conditioning industry from November exports. This figure was at the level of $173 million in the same period of last year.

In January-November 2021, the most foreign sales in air conditioning products were realized from Istanbul, Manisa, Kocaeli, Izmir and Bursa, respectively.
