Car rental rates increased by 125% in 2021 compared to 2020

While Turkey is preparing for the first restriction-free holiday in the pandemic period, there is a great intensity in the car rental sector. Rental rates increased by 125% compared to last year.

Umut Yildirim, CEO of Yolcu360, who gave information about the demand for the car rental sector during the holiday, said that there was a great demand with the lifting of the restriction and the holiday. Noting that there was a 125% increase in rentals compared to the previous year, Yildirim said that this interest is expected to continue in the future.

According to the company’s data, the vehicles received from Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir constituted approximately 75% of the total rentals, and the rentals were made with an average of 5 days. The high demand for vehicles with high mileage showed that long routes were preferred.
