Turkish Airlines (THY) increased its total number of passengers, which was 6.1 million in January 2023, to 6.3 million, an increase of 2.7% in the same period of 2024.
According to the statement made by THY to KAP, while the number of international-to-international transfer passengers was 2.3 million in January 2023, it increased by 14.1% to 2.6 million in the same period of 2024.
The passenger occupancy rate decreased by 0.4 points in January 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, reaching 80.3%. In the same period, the international occupancy rate was 79.8%, while the domestic occupancy rate was 84.7%. While Total Available Seat Km (AKK) was 18.1 billion in January 2023, it increased by 10.6% to 20 billion in the same period of 2024.
THE NUMBER OF AIRPLANES IN THE FLEET IS440
While the Cargo-Mail carried was 119 thousand tons in January 2023, it increased by 24.8% in the same period of 2024 and was recorded as 148.6 thousand tons.
At the end of January 2024, the number of aircraft in the fleet is 440.
