Call from KOSGEB for entrepreneur candidates in the fields of machinery and food manufacturing in 3 provinces

Within the scope of the supports it has prepared on a regional and sectoral basis, KOSGEB has issued a call for entrepreneurs in Denizli, Aydin and Mugla who have business ideas in the machinery and food manufacturing sectors.

According to the information obtained by the AA correspondent, KOSGEB opened a call for entrepreneurs focusing on the development of the machinery and food manufacturing sectors in Denizli, Aydin and Mugla, within the scope of the targets set for the development of entrepreneurship culture, technology-based and innovative entrepreneurship capacity under the title of “Entrepreneurship and SMEs” in the 11th Development Plan. Entrepreneurs who can implement business ideas in these areas will be supported with the call.

Within the framework of the Advanced Entrepreneur Support Program, the 7th regional and sectoral-based call has been opened. Applications have started for the call titled “Technological Entrepreneurs for the Development of Denizli, Aydin and Mugla Provinces-Food and Machinery Manufacturing Sectors”. Applications will continue until Friday, October 20, at 23.59.

Entrepreneur candidates born in 1987 and later, who have business ideas in the machinery and food manufacturing sectors in Denizli, Aydin and Mugla, who do not have a company with real person status after 2020, will be able to apply to the call. There will be no age requirement for women.

50 entrepreneur candidates who are deemed suitable among the entrepreneurs who have business ideas for the development of the machinery and food manufacturing sectors, which will be evaluated by KOSGEB, will be included in the training and mentoring program within the scope of the cooperation between KOSGEB and Denizli European Union Business Development Center, Denizli Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Aydin Chamber of Industry and Mugla Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Entrepreneurs who complete this program will be able to apply for the Advanced Entrepreneur Support Program within the determined support upper limits.

Entrepreneurs will be able to apply through the SME Information System. If there are deficiencies in the application, the deficiencies will be reported through the system and the entrepreneur will have to correct the deficiencies within the specified periods. All notifications will be made through the system. The obligation to follow up on notifications will be entirely the responsibility of the applicant.

Business ideas to apply to the call

The business ideas to apply for the call are as follows:

  • Software activities/digital solutions for procurement, test-analysis, storage, logistics, purchasing and after-sales business processes
  • Activities to reuse waste and reduce wastage
  • Digital solutions that increase quality and efficiency and reduce costs for production processes and inputs such as machinery-equipment, raw materials and materials
  • Production of high value-added functional products with the development of innovative technologies in food drying
  • Extending shelf life using innovative technologies (such as high hydrostatic pressure)
  • Production of functional foods
  • Development of machines for the production of value-added products (food, marble, metal processing, agriculture and textiles)
  • Development of software and automation of machines used in production processes (food, marble, metal processing, agriculture and textile)

Business ideas in these areas should include one or more of the topics in question and the business idea should be created in line with the selected topics.

Non-refundable support of up to ₺1 million for 50 entrepreneurs

The entrepreneur whose application is accepted is required to establish his business in one of the provinces of Denizli, Aydin and Mugla and to continue his activities in the province where the business was established during the program.

KOSGEB will provide non-refundable support of up to ₺1 million to 50 entrepreneurs who will operate in these fields.

Entrepreneur candidates will be able to receive up to ₺400 thousand support for machinery-equipment and software expenses, ₺400 thousand support for the employment they will provide, and ₺150 thousand support for rent, office equipment and raw material expenses. Entrepreneur candidates will be able to receive up to ₺30 thousand support for mentoring, consultancy and business coaching expenses, and up to ₺20 thousand support will be provided for establishment expenses.

KOSGEB had previously made sectoral calls to meet the needs in different provinces or regions by carrying out joint studies with different institutions and organizations.

In this context, support was given to entrepreneurs who offered solutions for the development of the furniture industry in Kayseri and Bursa, the mobility and related technology sectors in Istanbul and Kocaeli, and strategic sectors focusing on the defense industry, medical devices, information/digitalization technologies and financial technologies in Ankara, entrepreneurs who offer solutions for the development of sectors focused on clean energy and clean technologies in Izmir and Manisa, and the software sector in Istanbul.

The Presidency will continue its calls to different provinces and sectors in the coming period.
