Turkiye-UAE trade will reach $40 billion

Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates, said, “I am sure that we will see big figures between Turkiye and the UAE. We will see $40 billion in 5 years.”

In his statement, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi expressed his satisfaction with his visit to Turkiye a while ago.

Stating that the two nations have recorded a good growth in non-oil trade, Zeyoudi stated that the non-oil bilateral trade between Turkiye and the UAE is based on $18 billion.

Emphasizing that there was a very good growth in the trade between the two countries in the first half of this year, Zeyoudi said that bilateral trade reached almost $13.5 billion in the first half of the year.

“We want to enable the private sector to look at other markets from a different perspective and work together.”

Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi pointed out the importance of the private sector in bilateral trade and said:

“(Turkiye and the UAE) We want to ensure that the private sector benefits from this close relationship and agreements. I am sure that we will see great figures between Turkiye and the UAE. We will see $40 billion in 5 years. We want to continue this momentum. We want to enable the private sector to look at other markets from a different perspective and work together.”

According to the information provided, the UAE is one of Turkiye’s most important trade partners in the Gulf region. Consumer goods rank first in Turkiye’s exports to the UAE with a share of 58.6%. This is followed by intermediate goods with a share of 30.07% and investment goods with a share of 8.11%.
