The Banks Association of Turkey (TBB) announced that banks can accept customers via mobile devices and computers by remote identification.
In the statement made by the TBB regarding the remote bank account opening, it was reminded that the Regulation on Remote Identification Methods to be Used by Banks and the Establishment of Contract Relationships in Electronic Environment was published in the Official Gazette dated April 1, 2021 and numbered 31441.
With the said regulation, it was stated that banks can accept customers via mobile devices and computers by remote identification, and the regulation will come into force as of May 1, 2021.
