TEB Posts TRY 14.06 Billion Net Profit in 2025

ISTANBUL — Türk Ekonomi Bankası (TEB) reported a net profit of TRY 14.06 billion for 2025, according to the bank’s year-end financial results.

As of Dec. 31, 2025, TEB’s total assets reached TRY 768 billion. Total loans stood at TRY 445 billion, while total deposits amounted to TRY 510 billion.

The bank’s equity increased to TRY 58 billion, and its capital adequacy ratio came in at 18.82%, well above the target level of 12%. Loans accounted for 58% of total assets, underscoring the bank’s support for the economy and its customers.

Strong International Funding and Sustainability Focus

Backed by funding from international institutions, TEB continued to support the real sector. In the final quarter of the year, the bank renewed its syndicated loan, providing USD 350 million in support for foreign trade financing.

The syndication attracted USD 500 million in demand and was renewed at 106%, with participation from 23 banks across 14 countries, including five new lenders.

For the first time, TEB transitioned to a Sustainability-Linked Syndicated Loan structure with the launch of its Sustainable Finance Framework. The framework enables the issuance of green, social, and sustainable financing instruments in international markets and aims to finance environmentally and socially sustainable projects and foreign trade.

Priority areas include combating climate change, transitioning to clean energy, improving energy efficiency, protecting oceans, preserving biodiversity, promoting inclusive economic growth, and advancing equality in education.

Expanded Cooperation with EBRD

As part of its strategy to support a sustainable, low-carbon economy, TEB strengthened its cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

In December, under the Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF II), TEB signed a EUR 100 million loan agreement, with the first EUR 50 million tranche disbursed. The financing will support sustainability-focused investments by corporates, SMEs, and individual customers.

Digital Banking and Product Enhancements

Throughout the year, TEB expanded its digital offerings. Via its mobile banking app CEPTETEB, credit cards, overdraft facilities, and loan products were restructured, allowing customers to manage credit products more flexibly.

New digital payment features enable users to view and manage subscriptions linked to Visa-branded TEB cards. On the CEPTETEB İŞTE platform, enhancements for commercial customers included credit card debt restructuring, HGS applications, digital card subscription management, checkbook and presentment tracking, and online access to guarantees and checkbook applications.

TEB also became one of the first banks to offer online Export Proceeds Acceptance Certificates (İBKB) and moved the 3% foreign exchange conversion incentive to digital channels.

Support for Women Entrepreneurs and Financial Literacy

Through its Women Banking initiative, TEB continued to support women entrepreneurs, achieving a 70% year-on-year increase in loans extended to women-led SMEs. The program focuses not only on access to finance but also on access to knowledge, markets, and business networks.

The bank also expanded its financial literacy efforts. In 2025, the TEB Family Academy delivered financial literacy training to more than 10,000 people across over 30 institutions. Climate literacy and environmental law literacy programs reached more than 5,000 participants through in-person and digital formats.

By year-end, the total number of individuals who had received financial literacy training through the TEB Family Academy exceeded 21 million.

Research and SME Sustainability Financing

TEB shared the results of a nationwide study conducted with Bahçeşehir University’s Economic and Social Research Center (BETAM). Based on nearly 2,500 surveys in 12 provinces, the research assessed households’ financial conditions, decision-making processes, and financial literacy levels.

Within its SME Banking activities, TEB supported sustainability goals by financing projects in renewable energy, energy efficiency, circular economy, waste management, electric mobility, and carbon emission reduction. The bank also launched the TEB SME Sustainability Finance Product.

Entrepreneurship and Export Support

Through its Entrepreneur Banking initiatives, TEB continued to support startups and the broader ecosystem. As a partner of Turkey Innovation Week organized by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), the bank brought entrepreneurs and investors together at the InnovaZone.

Under the Startup to Export program run by TİM-TEB Entrepreneurship Centers, 30 startups received support in accessing international networks and acquiring customers.

In the final quarter of the year, TEB closely monitored access to Central Bank rediscount loans and Eximbank financing. The volume of Central Bank rediscount loans intermediated by the bank reached TRY 11.7 billion, reinforcing its support for exporters.
