
Tekfen Holding’s subsidiary Tekfen İnşaat ve Tesisat AŞ, together with Fernas İnşaat AŞ, has been awarded a TL 54.4 billion rail system tender by Türkiye’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
The joint venture submitted a bid of TL 54.411 billion, excluding VAT, for the Pursaklar–Esenboğa Rail System Line Construction and Electromechanical Systems Supply, Installation and Commissioning Project.
Joint Venture Wins Tender
The tender was conducted by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure’s General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments.
According to the company’s disclosure to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the joint venture’s bid received the highest score among valid offers and was deemed the economically most advantageous bid. The tender commission subsequently approved the award.
Project Covers 15.5-Kilometer Route
The project covers the construction of the rail system line between Pursaklar and Esenboğa, along the section between kilometer points 20+500 and 36+000, covering approximately 15.5 kilometers.
The scope includes not only civil construction but also the supply, installation and commissioning of electromechanical systems.
Contract Process to Follow
The joint venture has received an official invitation to sign the contract. The contract is expected to be signed after the required performance guarantee and other documents are completed within the legal period specified under Türkiye’s Public Procurement Law and the tender specifications.
The award represents a significant new project for Tekfen İnşaat and highlights the growing scale of rail infrastructure investments in Türkiye.
